This collaboration between Ubisoft and Reality Labs marks a significant expansion into the realm of customizable, 3D-printed collectibles inspired by notable game franchises such as Assassin’s Creed, For Honor, and Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six. This venture takes a unique approach by introducing a digital element to these physical mementos.
The ‘Digital Soul’ NFTs offer an exciting opportunity for fans to customize and possess a 3D-printed figurine of a hero from the Assassin’s Creed series, encased in a clear cube. Owners are given the flexibility to select from a variety of weapons, outfits, and poses before the character is physically printed and delivered. Furthermore, these NFTs come in different rarity levels, providing more extensive customization options for higher-tier collectibles.
Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed NFTs Leverage Advanced Technology for Immersive Experience The ‘Digital Soul’ NFTs stand out for their incorporation of a near-field communication (NFC) chip. When scanned with a smartphone, owners can unlock a digital replica of their character via a companion app, further enhancing the immersive Assassin’s Creed experience.
In addition to the ‘Digital Soul’ NFTs, Reality Labs is set to launch 1,500 ‘Piece of Eden’ passes, granting holders additional benefits such as access to future limited-edition drops and priority access to 3D printing.
Ubisoft, known for its innovative use of in-game assets, is already a leading player in the gaming industry’s NFT adoption. With the introduction of advanced technologies like NFC chips, and by bridging the physical and digital worlds, Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed smart collectibles are poised to take the gaming titan to unprecedented heights.
