Starbucks, a leading coffee chain, is set to launch its second set of NFTs through its Odyssey rewards program. This new drop, named the ‘First Store Collection,’ follows the successful debut of its genesis NFTs and is expected to be available for purchase on April 19. The collection consists of 5,000 NFT stamps or collectibles that are minted on Polygon, with each piece available for a flat fee of $100.

According to a company statement, the First Store Collection is a “multimedia collage of photos, in-store textures, and prominent icons” that draws inspiration from Starbucks’ first store in Seattle. Purchasers of this collection will earn 1,500 points for rewards that will be credited to their Starbucks Odyssey app. Furthermore, those who possess more than two NFTs from the first collection will receive early access to the latest mint.

In addition to the upcoming NFT drop, Starbucks Odyssey is gearing up for its public launch. The platform has been undergoing testing through a closed beta program, and the official launch is expected soon. The company recently indicated to its beta testers via email that they were getting closer to the official launch.

After the completion of the second NFT drop, Starbucks Odyssey will shift its focus to rewarding beta users based on the number of points they have earned. Perks will be accessible starting April 24, including access to a virtual coffee preparation class and an opportunity to support Feeding America charity. Other notable rewards include a chance to name a tree at the company’s Costa Rican coffee farm or unlimited free coffee for a month. Points on the app are earned by completing in-app objectives such as buying drinks from the company stores or interacting with its content.
