Paris Hilton and her company, 11:11 Media, have formed a partnership with the gaming metaverse, The Sandbox, to create Parisland, a tropical virtual island in the metaverse. Commencing on February 13th, just before Valentine’s Day, Parisland will host a virtual dating reality show, where players can participate in a variety of activities and ultimately choose a romantic partner. The event will run for one month.

The players will be presented with five options for romantic partners, and through various challenges, such as selecting wedding attire and rescuing a stranded individual, they will make their final choice. The chosen couple will exchange vows in a virtual wedding ceremony, with Paris Hilton herself DJing.

When talking about “Parisland,” The Sandbox co-founder and COO Sebastien Borget stated:

I can’t think of a better way to light up the winter months than a romantic Valentine’s Day getaway to Paris Hilton’s tropical island in the Metaverse. Parisland offers a dazzling escape to sunny beaches, lighthearted romance, and genuine emotion as you discover and woo your romantic partner and celebrate with a destination wedding.

Those who complete at least one quest in Parisland will receive a Memorabilia, and those who complete all the quests will receive a Mystery Box, containing prizes in SAND or Paris Hilton’s NFTs. On February 17th, The Sandbox will also hold “Paris’ Birthday Social Challenge,” a social event in celebration of Paris Hilton’s birthday. Fifty lucky participants who complete all challenges will receive an exclusive Cake NFT.

Paris Hilton has created multiple virtual experiences on The Sandbox, including a Metaverse Malibu Mansion, a Cryptoween party, and being a DJ at various metaverse parties in The Sandbox and Roblox. In December, she partnered with Genies to launch a collection of digital wearables for avatars. Last year, she also teamed up with the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) to create a fund aimed at supporting female artists working in fields such as AR, animation, video art, NFTs, and related areas.
